LAS VEGAS – The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 97-95, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center on Monday.

There were seven ties and 14 lead changes in this game, with neither team grabbing a double-digit lead. In fact, six of those lead changes were in the fourth quarter, staying within a four-point margin for the final 13 minutes. Philadelphia had a game-winning three-point attempt at the buzzer but fell just shy. Portland shot 32.3 percent from three-point range (12-of-37), while Philly shot 25.9 percent (7-of-27). The Trail Blazers recorded 26 assists to 14 turnovers, while the Sixers had 19 assists to 18 turnovers.

The Trail Blazers (1-1) leading scorer came off the bench, with Bryce McGowens leading the way with 20 points, two rebounds and two assists. Kris Murray led the starters with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Justin Minaya amassed 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Donovan Clingan collected eight points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks.

The Sixers (1-1) were led by Ricky Council IV, finishing with 18 points, three rebounds and three assists. Jeff Dowtin tallied 17 points, four rebounds and eight assists. Judah Mintz led the bench with 16 points, while Jared McCain compiled 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Both teams have to play again on Wednesday, with Philly facing the Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland playing the Washington Wizards.
