LAS VEGAS – Colby Jones’ stellar offensive performance helped lift the Sacramento Kings to a convincing 82-70 victory over the Utah Jazz in an NBA 2K25 Summer League battle at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Monday night.

The first quarter portended the superiority the Kings would display, as Sacramento exited the period with a 23-9 lead. They wouldn’t let up in the second period, adding another nine points to their advantage to take a 23-point edge into halftime. The Jazz would go on to outscore the Kings by a 45-34 margin in the second half, but the outcome of the game in which Sacramento never trailed and forced 26 turnovers was never in doubt.
No. 10 overall pick Cody Williams led the Jazz with 14 points, adding two rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal. Second-round selection Kyle Filipowski followed with 13 points, complementing them with five rebounds, two assists and one block. Taevion Kinsley and Isaiah Collier generated matching nine-point efforts, with Collier adding six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Keshawn Justice matched his teammates’ scoring and also pulled down five boards.
Jones paced the Kings with a game-high 25 points, complementing them with six rebounds, three steals and one block. Drew Timme furnished 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal. Mason Jones delivered 13 points, nine assists, three rebounds and four steals.
Both teams return to action Wednesday afternoon, with the Jazz facing the Toronto Raptors and the Kings tangling with the New York Knicks.
