LAS VEGAS — Ricky Council IV scored 20 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 96-80 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas on Friday at Thomas and Mack Center.
The 76ers jumped out to a great start and led 25-12 after the first quarter. The Spurs picked up their play in the second and trimmed it to a five-point game by halftime. They kept the momentum going in the third but still trailed by one heading into the final quarter. The Sixers took over in the fourth, outscoring the Spurs 32-17 to run away with the win.
Council IV shot 7-for-14 from the field and added five rebounds, two assists and three steals to his team-high scoring effort. Jeff Downtin Jr. followed up with 17 points, four rebounds and five assists, while David Jones added 15 points, six rebounds and a steal. Judah Mintz and Keve Aluma also gave strong performances off the bench.
Jamaree Bouyea led the Spurs with 15 points, two rebounds, two assists and six steals in 30 minutes of action. Harrison Ingram followed up with 14 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while Tyson Ward chipped in 12 points and six rebounds.
