What We Know About Saturday’s Games

-Nuggets Defeat Spurs in OT on Prime: This was one of the best games of the season between two contenders. The Nuggets trailed by six points with 90 seconds left in regulation, but forced OT and escaped with that home win. Nikola Jokić had 40 points, eight rebounds and 13 assists.

-Miami Defeats Washington in Matinee Matchup: The Heat lost eight of 10 headed into this game, but they dropped 152 points in this 16-point victory. They recorded 41 assists while shooting 58 percent from the field. The bench came to play, with Jaime Jaquez leading the team with 32 points and Kel’el Ware compiling 24 points, 19 rebounds and eight blocks.

-Sixers and Pistons Close the Night on NBATV: Philadelphia has won eight of its last 11 games and has a healthy roster for the first time this season. They’ll look to continue that form against a Detroit team that is two wins away from securing the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Nuggets Defeat Spurs in OT Thriller, 136-134

In one of the highlight games of the season, we were treated to one of the best games all year.

Denver trailed by six with 1:39 left in regulation, but got the game into an extra session.

San Antonio held the lead for all but a few minutes, but Denver forced overtime and escaped with a home victory.

This gives Denver an eighth-straight win while snapping an 11-game winning streak for San Antonio.

Nikola Jokić played like an MVP, finishing with 40 points, eight rebounds, 13 assists and three blocks.

Victor Wembanyama had 34 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks.

Heat Defeat Wizards, 152-136

Miami outscored Washington by 27 points in the second and third quarters to take command of this game.

The Heat shot 58 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range.

They also out-assisted Washington, 41-28.

Will Riley led Washington with 31 points, five rebounds and five steals.

Jaime Jaquez led Miami with 32 points, three rebounds and four assists.

Kel’el Ware collected 24 points, 19 rebounds and eight blocks.
