Former All-Star guard Michael Ray Richardson died Tuesday at 70 years old.
Richardson played in the NBA from 1978-86 and was the No. 4 pick of the 1978 Draft by the New York Knicks. He became a three-time All-Star with New York and made the All-Star team again with the New Jersey Nets in 1984-85.
He led the NBA in steals per game three times (1979-80, ’82-83 and ’84-85) and led the league in assists per game once (’79-80) in a career that saw him play for the Knicks (1978-82), Nets (1983-86) and Golden State Warriors (’82).
