Cooper Flagg racks up 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks in return to action vs. Orlando.
Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg has returned to the floor Thursday against the Orlando Magic after missing the last eight games with a left midfoot sprain, coach Jason Kidd confirmed pregame.
The 19-year-old had been out since the final game before the All-Star break after getting injured in a loss at Phoenix on Feb. 10. On a “20-to-25” minutes limit, Flagg posted 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks in 26 minutes as the Mavericks lost to the Magic, 115-114, on Wendell Carter Jr.’s dunk in the final seconds.
Flagg, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, is averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists over 49 games this season. The Mavericks (21-40) are currently 12th in the Western Conference standings.
