The addition of Kennard gives the Lakers some much-needed 3-point shooting. Los Angeles is No. 25 in 3-pointers made (582) and attempted (1,670). Kennard is No. 14 in the NBA among 3-point shooting reserves (74-for-149) and has made 100 or more 3-pointers in each of the last five seasons. He ranks No. 1 in the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage at 49.7%.
Vincent signed with the Lakers after a standout run with the Miami Heat to help them to the 2023 NBA Finals. He has struggled with injuries during his time in L.A. and heads to Atlanta averaging 4.8 points per game while shooting 34.6% overall.
Atlanta has made multiple moves leading up to the deadline, including reportedly acquiring Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield in one trade, Jock Landale in another reported swap and Duop Reath and two picks in a completed swap. In trading for Vincent, the Hawks, per Charania, get a $11 million trade exception.
