What we know after Tuesday night’s games:

1:35 AM / NOVEMBER 12, 2025

The Joker delivers down the stretch

Nikola Jokić stepped into the game-clinching three with 1:04 to go, “cool, calm and collected,” as Jamal Crawford put it.

It was the masterstroke on a brilliant night (35 pts, 15 reb, 7 ast) for the three-time Kia NBA MVP, who shot 16-of-19 from the field.

He makes it look simple — but the game is still tough.

“It’s not easy,” said Jokić. “I think we are playing the right way… When we are doing what is working for us (as a team), I think we are playing really good basketball.”

With the 122-108 win, Nuggets are now 8-2, moving into a tie with San Antonio for the second seed in the West.

1:27 AM / NOVEMBER 12, 2025

Kings draw closer

Sacramento has put together a 10-2 run to cut it to 108-99, capped by this Malik Monk fadeaway.

1:22 AM / NOVEMBER 12, 2025

Denver racing away

Jamal Murray got Denver rolling in the fourth with 10 points within the first four minutes.

Then, Jonas Valančiūnas and Bruce Brown started delivering, helping the Nuggets open up a double-digit lead.

It’s 106-91 with 4:50 to go in the fourth.

1:12 AM / NOVEMBER 12, 2025

Drew Eubanks’ scoring supports Sacramento

The backup center for the Kings has been an unexpected force offensively tonight, dropping 14 points on 6-of-6 shooting.

Check out his skill in moving into open space. He always has his hands up to catch a quick pass and finish.

1:08 AM / NOVEMBER 12, 2025

Nuggets open up 10-point lead

A Jamal Murray three capped a 9-0 run to put the Nuggets up 94-84 with 9:30 to go in the fourth quarter.

Denver has 23 second chance points on the evening to four for Sacramento — a significant factor in their advantage.

A tight one heading into the fourth on NBC and Peacock

85-82 Nuggets heading into the final period. The Joker’s been brilliant; the Kings have responded with a balanced team effort. Who will pull out the win?

12:48 AM / NOVEMBER 12, 2025

The Joker delivers a long-range pass of his own

82-74 Denver with 2:14 left in the third. Jokić (27 pts, 12 reb, 6 ast) is zeroing on his 171st career triple-double.

12:39 AM / NOVEMBER 12, 2025

A coast-to-coast connection

Sabonis finds LaVine as the second half begins in earnest on NBC and Peacock.

73-67 Nuggets with 6:52 left in the third.

These two teams are similar.

They have offenses built around do-it-all bigs in Jokić and Sabonis cueing electric scoring guards in LaVine and Jamal Murray. Westbrook, Bruce Brown and Christian Braun provide energy and help push the pace. Keon Ellis and Aaron Gordon add athleticism and defensive tenacity. Drew Eubanks and Jonas Valančiūnas have been there before and aren’t afraid to battle in the paint.

But despite their commonalities, the Nuggets have won their last six games against the Kings, dating back to 2023-24. Can Sacramento reverse their fortunes tonight?

It’s a fun question to enjoy this evening.

After Andre Drummond tipped away the inbounds pass, prompting a broken play, Neemias Queta had a chance to put back a Derrick White heave at the buzzer for the tie, but couldn’t convert.

These two historic rivals have now had three games this season separated by four points.

Maxey to the max

No one covers more ground than Tyrese Maxey — literally. He’s running 2.9 miles per game, 0.3 more than any other player in the Association.

Few make more threes — he’s third in 3-pointers made this season at 41. He attacks the basket with abandon, ranking 12th in the NBA with 15.0 drives per game.

Almost no one scores more points. He’s second on the scoring list at 33.2 ppg, trailing only former Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Oh, and he’s averaging a career-high 8.2 assists per game.

Last time out, he put up his sixth 30+ point game of the season — tied for third in the NBA — in a 111-108 loss to the Pistons, receiving “MVP!” chants from the Philly faithful.

It’s effort reminiscent of franchise icon Allen Iverson, who averaged 31.1 ppg in his MVP season in 2000-01.

Iverson could get buckets in any way you wanted. He could get in the lane, go left or right, using lightning quickness backed by resilient, effervescent toughness.

Sounds like Maxey.

As you watch the video above, check the number of ways he can score — the defense has to watch him at all times, and he can power through contact at the rim, as he does in the final play with a forceful lefty slam.

AI was likely better in isolation. He posted 1.16 points per possession in isolation in his MVP season, while Maxey stands at 0.70 so far this season.

Iverson operated from a standstill more often than Maxey, reacting to the spacing of a more compressed game by using his trademark crossover to take on larger defenders and punch above his weight as a slasher.

But Tyrese, in tune with the modern game, boasts a devastating three-point shot in his skillset. He’s shooting 44.1 percent from deep, knocking down 4.1 of 9.3 3PA per game.

Philly’s lucky to have him. Could Maxey take them all the way to the NBA Finals, as Iverson did?

He’ll have to keep up a dizzying pace. But the possibility seems on the table.

Welcome to a six-game Tuesday!

Russell Westbrook and Nikola Jokić

Russell Westbrook and the Kings will host Nikola Jokić and the Nuggets in the second half of tonight’s ‘NBA Coast 2 Coast’ doubleheader on NBC and Peacock.

It’s ‘Coast 2 Coast Tuesday,’ and we’re bringing you a doubleheader rich with rivalry and history on NBC and Peacock, as Jaylen Brown and the Celtics take on Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers (8 ET), followed by Nikola Jokić and the Nuggets taking on Russell Westbrook and the Kings (11 ET).

The Celtics and 76ers have faced off 473 times in the regular season, but they’ve never been separated by fewer points than they have this season. Both of their first two contests have been decided by just a single point.

The Sixers won 117-116 on opening night; the Celtics got their revenge on Halloween 109-108. They’ll renew their rivalry tonight.

Watch the offensive flow — the Sixers are leading the league with 7.0 blocks per game, while the Celtics are topping the Association with 31.3 points off pull-up jumpers, as well as screen assists, with 9.8 per game.

With Joel Embiid out, Boston’s challenging Andre Drummond and Adem Bona down low, it may be to Philly’s advantage.

Russell Westbrook and Nikola Jokić rank No. 1 and No. 3 on the all-time list for triple-doubles in NBA history, with Oscar Robertson between them, serving as all-around offensive engines for their teams.

After playing together last season — and dueling while putting up a combined 60 points, 26 rebounds and 20 assists in a 130-124 Nuggets win on Nov. 3 — they’ll face off in the nightcap of tonight’s doubleheader, seeking to lead talented supporting casts featuring stars like Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray.

“He sits in a category of his own,” Westbrook said last year of Jokić. “He’s so unselfish. He loves [to] make the game easy for his teammates.”

There should be some beautiful basketball on tap tonight.

Check out the complete schedule below:

  • Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:30 ET
  • Memphis Grizzlies vs. New York Knicks, 7:30 ET
  • Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 8 ET (NBC, Peacock)
  • Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors, 8 ET
  • Indiana Pacers vs. Utah Jazz, 9 ET
