  • The Clippers beat the Rockets 128-108 behind 41 points from Kawhi Leonard.
  • The Spurs knocked off the Thunder 130-110, handing the defending champs their fourth loss of the season, despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 33 points.

Magic survive late challenge from Blazers

The Magic and Blazers went back-and-forth in the fourth quarter, but Orlando proved the victor, led by Desmond Bane (23 pts, 4 3PM) and Anthony Black (21 pts, 4 3PM).

Deni Avdija paced Portland with 25 points, adding 6 rebounds and 8 assists, while Donovan Clingan had 14 rebounds and two blocks.

Portland had a 58-36 advantage in points in the paint and a 28-13 lead in fast break points, but Orlando shot 15-of-33 from three-point range to seize the win.

After defeating the Lakers Saturday, the Clippers are looking to knock off another traditional Western Conference power, as they lead the Rockets 63-58 at the half.

Kawhi Leonard (18 pts, 2 ast) is leading the way, including finding John Collins with this slick bounce pass.

Victor Wembanyama led the Jackals cheering section in a celebratory clapping session after the win, leaving them roaring victory into the night.

Keldon Johnson (25 pts) led the Spurs in scoring, while Stephon Castle added 24 points in 28 minutes.

It’s the seventh straight win for San Antonio.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 33 points in defeat for Oklahoma City.

Mavericks win a thriller on NBC

131-130, as Peyton Watson’s game-winning three-point attempt went halfway down, but rimmed out.

It was a coming-out party on national television for Cooper Flagg, who had 33 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in his first appearance on NBC.

“Just coming together, trying to have each other’s backs,” said Flagg. “We’re learning from all these experiences. We’ve been in a lot of really close games… I just want to get a bunch more wins.”

“You are seeing the next star in the NBA,” said Mike Tirico of Flagg. “Starring right now.”

Nikola Jokić (29 pts, 7 reb, 14 ast) was his customary brilliant self for the Nuggets, while Jamal Murray added 31 pts and 14 assists. But only four Nuggets scored in double figures.
