Recap: 2026 NBA Summer League, Day 10 | Grizzlies, Warriors to play in Summer League championship game

Cameron Boozer and the Grizzlies advanced to the championship game of the 2026 NBA Summer League by defeating the Rockets on Day 10 of the event.

Welcome to our recap of Saturday’s action in the 2026 NBA Summer League, as the Grizzlies and Warriors advanced through the semifinals to reach the championship game.

We opened with two close games, as the Magic defeated the Celtics 103-99 and the Bucks beat the 76ers 96-94 on a game-winning layup by No. 10 pick Brayden Burries (27 pts).

The Grizzlies advanced to the Summer League championship game by defeating the Rockets 101-90, as Cedric Coward (28 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast) and Cameron Boozer (12 pts, 12 reb, 5 ast) showed out.

The Wizards ended their summer with a 91-83 win over the Hawks, cued by Reece Beekman (13 pts, 6 reb, 14 ast).

Yaxel Lendeborg (15 pts, 2 blk, team-high +11) led the Warriors over the Lakers 92-88, winning a back-and-forth affair that came down to the final minute.

Jalen Slawson (22 pts, 4 blk) finished off a strong summer by leading the Pacers to a 91-73 win over the Pelicans, aided by Yuki Kawamura (12 ast).

Miles Kelly (20 pts) scored the last 12 points for the Spurs to lift them over the Suns 86-81 to cap the night.

Spurs win 86-81

Miles Kelly (20 pts) delivered some clutch scoring to lead San Antonio to a win to finish off Day 10 of the 2026 NBA Summer League.

After Phoenix tied the game at 74 with 2:42 remaining, Kelly scored the last 12 points for the Spurs, helping them run their record to 4-1 in Las Vegas.

 

The Spurs earned a 42-28 advantage in points in the paint and a 40-19 edge in bench points in the contest.

Devin Askew (20 pts) was the top scorer for the Suns.

Pacers win 91-73

Jalen Slawson (22 pts, 4 blk) and Yuki Kawamura (12 ast) were a dominant duo for Indiana, leading them to a win over New Orleans to end their Summer League campaign.

The Pacers put up 28 assists on 35 field goals, including those from No. 38 pick Braden Smith (9 ast), who complemented the strong point guard play on the evening.

Spurs–Suns starting on Prime

Warriors win 92-88

Yaxel Lendeborg (15 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast, 2 blk, team-high +11) helped the Warriors advance to the 2026 NBA Summer League championship game by beating the Lakers 92-88.

Golden State shot 12-for-24 (50%) from 3-point range to seize a back-and-forth contest that saw 18 lead changes and 10 ties.

The Lakers had the ball down 88-87 with under a minute to go, but were unable to take the lead. They then had a chance to tie it on the final possession, but Will Richard (8 pts, 2 3PM, 2 stl) knocked the ball away.

Cameron Carr (17 pts on 5-for-16 shooting) battled his way to a productive night for the Lakers, while Adou Thiero (18 pts, 10 reb, 3 blk) played far above the rim.

Wizards win 91-83

Reece Beekman (13 pts, 6 reb, 14 ast) cued the offense with flair in Washington’s final game of the summer, setting up John Camden (22 pts) and Chris Livingston (20 pts) en route to a win over the Hawks.

Beekman, a Virginia alum, is a two-time ACC Defensive Player of the Year. He previously played 36 NBA games, most notably for the Brooklyn Nets in 2024-25.

Devon Higgs (22 pts, 7 reb, 2 stl) was the top performer for the Hawks, stepping up again for a shorthanded roster.

No. 11 pick Yaxel Lendeborg helms the Warriors as they take on No. 24 pick Cameron Carr and the Lakers with a berth in the 2026 NBA Summer League semifinals on the line.

Grizzlies win 101-90

Cedric Coward (28 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk) was a star as the Grizzlies defeated the Rockets to advance to the 2026 NBA Summer League championship game.

Memphis led wire-to-wire, running out to a 26-9 lead after the first quarter and never looking back.

Cameron Boozer (12 pts, 12 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk) went grinding, as he always does, to help speed Memphis to the victory.

The Rockets shot 16-for-37 (43.2%) from 3-point range, but the Grizzlies countered by going 17-for-18 (94.4%) at the line.

Quadir Copeland (24 pts on 9-for-13 shooting, 2 blk, 2 3PM) was the top man for Houston.

Brayden Burries (27 pts, 5 ast) slashed to the rim for a layup with 1.5 seconds remaining to lift the Bucks to a win in their final game this summer.

Lefty drive, takes the bump, Eurostep to the rim, nice extension on the finish. Great technique from the guard out of Arizona.

Gerald Ayayi (22 pts) was the top scorer for the Sixers.

Rockets–Grizzlies starting on Prime

No. 3 pick Cameron Boozer, a winner throughout his basketball career, is going after the 2026 NBA Summer League championship as the Grizzlies take on No. 31 pick Bruce Thornton, two-time NCAA men’s basketball champion Tristen Newton and the Rockets.

JULY 18 / 6:30 p.m. ET

Magic win 103-99

Malik Reneau (19 pts on 6-for-7 shooting in 18:20) and Au’Diese Toney (18 pts, 2 3PM, 6 reb, 4 ast) lifted Orlando over Boston, as the Magic separated with a 36-23 third quarter.

Reneau was named First Team All-ACC in his senior season at Miami, leading the team with 18.9 ppg, after previously winning back-to-back high school national championships with Monteverde Academy.

Toney scored 12.2 ppg for the Noblesville Boom of the G League last season, shooting 46% from 3-point range on 3.9 3PA.

Caleb Grill (18 pts, 4 3PM), who won the G League championship last season with the Greensboro Swarm, was the top scorer for the Celtics.

The game saw 10 lead changes and five ties.

The No. 10 pick out of Arizona is a bull at the Summer League level, getting downhill with ease here and powering through the chest of the rim protector.

He’s not shooting that efficiently, but there are flashes of a talented pick-and-roll initiator.

Bucks’ rooks starting off hot

Brayden Burries (5 pts, 2 ast, 1 blk) and Nate Ament (12 pts on 5-for-6 shooting, 4 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl) have started off strong against the 76ers.

Burries is quick and strong at 6-foot-4, 215 — look at the little burst he applies as he picks up the ball for the floater.

Ament has a 6-foot-11.5 wingspan, which he shows off on this corner 3-pointer.

Houston alum Milos Uzan (7 pts on 3-for-3) is off to another strong start for Boston. The 6-foot-4 point guard has been an offensive engine for the team, providing shooting and ball-handling ability.

In his junior year with the Cougars, Uzan shot 45.3/42.8/78.3 from the field, scoring 11.4 ppg.

Recap of Day 9 of the 2026 NBA Summer League

The Kings defeated the Hornets 92-90 to open Friday’s action in a contest that saw eight lead changes, overcoming a double-double from No. 14 pick Hannes Steinbach (22 pts, 11 reb).

The Cavaliers beat the Bulls 100-91, as No. 34 pick Meleek Thomas (24 pts, 3 3PM) turned in another strong scoring performance.

The Mavericks shot 18-for-39 (46.2%) from 3-point range to knock off the Knicks 110-88.

Tre Donaldson (20 pts, 8 reb, 10 ast) capped his Summer League in style as the Heat came back to beat the Pistons 101-87.

Friday night ended with two thwarted comeback attempts, as the Jazz defeated the Trail Blazers 83-79 behind Justin Harmon (21 pts) and the Clippers beat the Timberwolves 128-120 in overtime, led by Keaton Wagler (26 pts) and Sean Pedulla (24 pts, 11 ast).
