Khris Middleton is reportedly heading to Washington as part of a six-team trade.
Khris Middleton is off the free agent market and headed back to Washington as part of a six-team trade.
ESPN reported Tuesday that Dallas is trading Middleton to the Wizards, and the veteran forward will sign a three-year contract for $17.6 million.
In a separate but connected transaction, ESPN reported that Washington will send D’Angelo Russell to Memphis.
ESPN reported that the Middleton trade is connected to several trades, including Russell, that have been reported in recent days, including:
- Caris LeVert to the Bucks and Gary Harris and Taurean Prince to the Pistons
- John Collins to the Pistons
- D’Angelo Russell to the Grizzlies
- Isaiah Stewart to the Grizzlies
- Santi Aldama to the Mavericks

The Associated Press and The Athletic also reported on the multi-team transaction.
Middleton, a champion with the 2021 Milwaukee Bucks, has averaged 16.1 points per game through his career.
Middleton is a three-time All-Star who was traded by the Wizards to Dallas in February. The forward, who turns 35 next month, averaged 10.2 points in 63 games between Washington and the Mavericks this past season.
