Following a breakout season in Utah, Keyonte George is signing a five-year extension with the Jazz.
The Utah Jazz are locking in key pieces for the future. The Jazz and guard Keyonte George agreed to a five-year, $157.5 million rookie extension on Friday. The deal was first reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania and was made official by the team later on in the day. The extension comes after a breakout season for George, the No. 16 pick from the 2023 NBA Draft.

The 22-year-old George set career highs in multiple categories in 2025-26, averaging 23.6 points, 6.1 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 45.6% from the field and 37.1% from deep, all career-best marks. He has increased his scoring and assist numbers across each of the first three seasons of his NBA career.
Securing a long-term deal with George ensures the Jazz continue to build on a strong collection of talent on the roster. George will be joined by 2026 No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson in the backcourt this season on a team that also features 2025 No. 5 pick Ace Bailey, former All-Star Lauri Markkanen and recent trade acquisition and former Kia Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr.
