Brothers Steph and Seth Curry teaming up on Warriors

Curry brothers set to be teammates for first time in NBA careers.

Seth and Steph Curry squared off in a Charlotte Hornets vs. Golden State Warriors game last season, but will now take the court as teammates.

The Golden State Warriors signed free agent Seth Curry on Wednesday, according to a team release. The move reunites the 35-year-old guard with his older brother, 11-time All-Star Stephen Curry, as the two become NBA teammates for the first time.

The younger Curry spent last season with the Charlotte Hornets, where he averaged 6.5 points and 1.7 rebounds while hitting at a 45.6% clip from 3-point range (83-of-182). An 11-year veteran, the Warriors will be the 10th team he has suited up for across his career. His older brother has been with Golden State since being drafted 7th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft.

The duo becomes the third pair of brothers entering 2025-26 NBA preseason action on the same team, joining Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Franz and Moritz Wagner of the Orlando Magic. If the Curry brothers begin the regular season on Golden State’s roster, they will become the 23rd different brother combination to have played on the same team in the same season, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

This is not the first time that the Curry brothers have played for the same overall franchise within the same year, however. Seth played for Golden State’s G League affiliate – the Santa Cruz Warriors – during the 2013-14 season, averaging 19.7 points and 5.8 assists while his brother earned his first NBA All-Star appearance with the parent club. The elder Curry was previously teammates with brother-in-law Damion Lee for four seasons with Golden State.
