Coby White dazzles at end of season debut, sending Bulls-Jazz game to 2nd overtime

Bulls guard scores 27 points after missing Chicago's 1st 11 games of the season, hitting a clutch layup in overtime.

Bulls guard Coby White connects on the game-tying layup with 0.2 seconds to play in overtime.

The Bulls dropped Sunday’s matchup with the Jazz in double-overtime, but received a boost off the bench from guard Coby White, who made his season debut after missing the 1st 11 games with a strained right calf.

White played 30 minutes off the bench during an eventual 150-147 loss to the Jazz, finishing with 27 points, four rebounds and eight assists while shooting a perfect 14-for-14 at the free-throw line. He connected on just 5-for-14 attempts overall, though one of White’s final buckets proved among the game’s most crucial.

As time ticked down in the final seconds of overtime, with Chicago trailing Utah by two, White stripped Keyonte George, setting up one last possession with 5.6 to play. He followed that by taking a pick from Nikola Vucevic at the top of the key and blew by the rest of the defense with a hesitation dribble to toss in a layup 0.2 seconds before the overtime buzzer.
