“Chasing History”, the all-access series documenting the NBA Playoffs presented by Google and NBA Finals, is back for another season on the NBA App.
Narrated by Jamal Crawford, the series offers a cinematic, behind-the-scenes look at teams and stars chasing the NBA title. The multi-part series tips off Saturday, April 11, with a playoff primer of the top teams in each conference – streaming on NBA TV and the NBA App, with new episodes throughout the playoffs.
“Chasing History” will delve into the many storylines unfolding throughout the postseason, as the Oklahoma City Thunder look to defend their title, the East-leading Detroit Pistons battle to win their conference, the San Antonio Spurs make their first playoff appearance since 2019, and more.
Chasing History will have multiple episodes throughout the postseason. Here’s the schedule:
- A Playoff Primer for East and West, detailing how each team made the playoffs, will be released on 4/11
- Round 1: One episode for East, one episode for West (Released at end of round)
- Round 2: One episode for East, one episode for West (Released at end of round)
- Conference Finals: One episode total
- Finals: One episode per game, replicating the cadence and style of the NBA’s traditional “minimovies”.
A movie encompassing all of the 2026 NBA Finals will be available at a later date.
