
Jayson Tatum averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists over 72 games last season.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum was assigned to the Maine Celtics, the team’s G League affiliate, on Monday to practice with the team as he continues the rehab process to return from a torn right Achilles.
Tatum was “immediately recalled” back to Boston after the practice.

Tatum has missed the entire 2025-26 season after suffering his injury during the 2025 NBA playoffs.
According to multiple reports, Tatum has progressed to 5-on-5 workouts as he moves closer to a return to the floor this season.
“He’s doing more and more and will continue to do more and more,” Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens said on Friday. “He’s still got a ways to go.”
The 6-time All-Star averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and six assists per game over 72 games last season. The Celtics (34-19) are currently third in the Eastern Conference standings.
