LAS VEGAS — The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Houston Rockets, 101-90, in the 2026 NBA Summer League semifinal at Thomas & Mack Center on Saturday.
The Grizzlies were led by Cedric Coward, who finished with 28 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Memphis will play the winner of the Warriors-Lakers matchup in the 2026 Las Vegas Summer League Championship.
The Grizzlies led 24-9 after the first quarter and got their lead up to as much as 22 points. They led by at least seven points for the final three quarters.
Memphis shot 94% (17-for-18) from the free-throw line while the Rockets shot just 60% (6-for-10). Memphis outrebounded Houston, 47-35, and got 20 second chance points to just 10 for Houston.
Javon Small had 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Memphis. No. 3 overall pick Cameron Boozer provided 12 points, 12 rebounds and five assists while Jahmai Mashack led the bench with 15 points.
The Rockets were led by Quadir Copeland, collecting 24 points while Iasiah Crawford compiled 12 points and eight rebounds.
Bruce Thornton tallied eight points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Daishen Nix led the bench with 16 points.
