LAS VEGAS – An experience-laden roster and dominant performance in the paint propelled the Brooklyn Nets to a comfortable 91-65 win over the New York Knicks in a 2026 NBA Summer League matchup on Friday.

Egor Dëmin and Mikel Brown Jr., the No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, set the pace for the Nets with matching 20-point totals.

What opened as a hotly contested game turned one-sided over the middle quarters, as Brooklyn erased a thin 16-15 deficit after one by outscoring New York, 53-26, during the middle periods.

That made the final 10 minutes a mere formality in a game where the Nets enjoyed a 30-18 scoring margin in the paint and were spearheaded by productive scoring efforts from their two most recent top-10 picks.

Nets first round draft pick Mikel Brown Jr. scores 20 points in a Summer League win over the New York Knicks.

Dëmin and Brown both hit three 3-pointers. Chaney Johnson was the Nets’ only other double-digit scorer with 11 points, which he complemented with nine boards, two assists and four steals. Danny Wolf finished with nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and one block.

Pacôme Dadiet led the Knicks with 20 points, adding seven boards and one steal.

Rookie second-round pick Tyler Nickel finished with 18 points and four rebounds off the bench. Mohamed Diawara added seven points and six rebounds.

Both teams return to action Saturday. The Knicks face the San Antonio Spurs (6 ET, ESPN), while the Nets tangle with the Atlanta Hawks (8 ET, ESPN).
