LAS VEGAS – Isaiah Crawford poured in a game-high 19 points to help the Houston Rockets defeat the Philadelphia 76ers, 90-64, in Summer League play on Tuesday.
Crawford, who has spent some time with the Rockets and Sacramento Kings since 2024-25, added two 3-pointers, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks with a game-best +34 rating in 27 minutes.
The Rockets fought through a sluggish start for both sides to take a 17-8 lead after the first quarter.
Houston and Philly shot below 30 percent from the field over the first 10 minutes.
The Rockets bounced back to shoot 60 percent in the second quarter and took a 41-25 advantage at halftime.
Houston remained in control after the break, outscoring the Sixers 49-39 and leading by as many as 29 with less than five minutes remaining in the third.
The wire-to-wire victory improves their record to 2-1, along with a massive boost to their point differential.
Bruce Thornton, pick No. 31 in the 2026 NBA Draft by the Rockets, continued to impress with 18 points (5-for-9 FGs), two rebounds, four assists and two steals.
His backcourt partner Tristen Newton tallied 17 points to go along with five rebounds and three assists.
For the 76ers, Labaron Philon Jr. (No. 22 in 2026) was a bright spot for the third contest in a row.
He averaged 21 points per game over his first two outings, then proceeded to pace Philly in scoring with 17 points on 7-for-11 shooting. The rookie out of Alabama added two rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Dante Maddox Jr. scored 10 points, while Amani Lyles finished with 13 points and three rebounds in only 12 minutes off the Sixers’ bench.
Philadelphia (2-1) is back in action on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic, while Houston (2-1) will take on the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.
