The NBA today announced the 2025-26 Kia NBA All-Defensive Team.
A global media panel of 100 voters selected the Kia NBA All-Defensive Team. Voters selected five players to the First Team and five players to the Second Team regardless of position. Players received two points for each First Team vote and one point for each Second Team vote.
The 2025-26 Kia NBA All-Defensive Team appears below as do the complete voting results. The balloting was tabulated by the independent accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP.
First Team:
- Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs
- Chet Holmgren, Oklahoma City Thunder
- Ausar Thompson, Detroit Pistons
- Rudy Gobert, Minnesota Timberwolves
- Derrick White, Boston Celtics
Second Team:
- Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors
- Cason Wallace, Oklahoma City Thunder
- Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat
- OG Anunoby, New York Knicks
- Dyson Daniels, Atlanta Hawks
A global media panel of 100 voters select five players for the Kia NBA All-Defensive First Team and five players for the Kia NBA All-Defensive Second Team at any position. Players received two points for each First Team vote and one point for each Second Team vote.
Additionally, the NBA’s Social Justice Champion Award winner was revealed to be Bam Adebayo. The other four finalists were Harrison Barnes, Jaylen Brown, Tobias Harris and Larry Nance Jr..
The annual award honors a current NBA player for pursuing social justice and will receive the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar trophy for advancing Abdul-Jabbar’s life mission to engage, empower and drive equality for individuals and groups who have been historically disadvantaged. The NBA Social Justice Champion will be announced during the Conference Finals of the 2026 NBA Playoffs and receive a $100,000 donation from the NBA for a non-profit organization of his choosing.
