Tallies 21 points in win
Sunday marked the seventh time in 2025-26 that McDaniels has scored at least 20 points. Four of those have come when Anthony Edwards (foot) has been unavailable, like he was Sunday. McDaniels was cooling down a bit after a hot start to the campaign, but he remains productive while averaging 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.6 blocks per tilt over his last 10 games.

Scores 18 points Sunday
Hyland was cleared to play only a few hours before tipoff, as he was dealing with a bruised knee, but he got the start and ended up being one of the most productive players for Minnesota in this win. Hyland should remain in the first unit as long as Anthony Edwards (foot) remains sidelined. Hyland seems to have more consideration from the coaching staff compared to other backcourt alternatives such as Jaylen Clark and Terrence Shannon.

Leads Minnesota to victory
Randle has taken over the role of being the Timberwolves' primary option on offense due to the absence of Anthony Edwards (foot), and the veteran forward has stepped up to the challenge. Randle has scored at least 20 points in five straight games, averaging 24.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 0.6 steals per game while shooting 39.1 percent from three in that span.
