Finds opportunity with New Orleans
While the details of the contract are unknown, Brooks is likely set to compete for a two-way spot for New Orleans. The 26-year-old most recently played in three contests during the Las Vegas Summer League for the Detroit Pistons, averaging 5.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.7 steals in 16.2 minutes per game. However, Brooks has yet to make his NBA debut after going undrafted in 2022.

Agrees to deal with Pelicans
Terms of the deal were not yet disclosed, so it's unclear if this is a standard contract or a training camp invite. McDaniels has 252 career regular-season appearances under his belt with averages of 6.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 steals on 44.9 percent shooting from the field.

Springer will compete for a spot on the team's roster during training camp and the NBA preseason. The Tennessee product played in 43 regular-season games during the 2024-25 campaign, spending time with the Celtics and Jazz. He averaged 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds across 8.5 minutes per game, shooting 38.9 percent from the field.
