However, it appears Leonard will be able to suit up for the Raptors on Opening Night after only receiving a monetary punishment. The trade that sent Leonard to Toronto should be finalized soon now that the NBA has closed its investigation. Leonard has one year left on his deal, valued at $50.3 million, but it's likely there will be mutual interest in an extension.
Gobert did suit up for France's victory over Slovenia on Thursday, so Sunday appeared to be a maintenance-related absence. The veteran center is getting ready for his fifth season with the Timberwolves in 2026-27, and it's plausible that Minnesota will rely even more on Gobert now that big man Naz Reid has been sent to Charlotte in exchange for star point guard LaMelo Ball. Gobert has averaged a double-double and at least one block while shooting no lower than 62 percent from the field in 10 consecutive seasons.
De Larrea made the most of his playing time Tuesday. The rookie first-round pick has parts of six seasons of international playing experience under his belt, but he'll likely require a standout camp to have any chance of challenging the likes of Marcus Sasser, Zaccharie Risacher and Caleb Martin for playing time off the bench with the Mavericks to begin 2026-27.
Alvarado helped offset a poor shooting performance with a team-high nine dimes Tuesday. The guard declined his $4.5 million player option but negotiated a new three-year contract with the defending-champion Knicks earlier this summer, and he's in line to compete with the likes of Landry Shamet, Miles McBride, Tyler Kolek and Jordan Clarkson for reserve minutes in the backcourt.

Antetokounmpo's absence wasn't due to restrictions from Miami, as Greece's federation indicated the decision was made as part of his preparation for the upcoming season. The 31-year-old will begin a new chapter with the Heat after being acquired from Milwaukee in a blockbuster trade this offseason.
Wagner appeared in 36 regular-season games for Orlando last campaign, averaging 6.9 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11.9 minutes per contest. The 29-year-old projects to be a reserve frontcourt option for the Nets in 2026-27 after signing a two-year deal with Brooklyn this offseason. His limited playing time makes consistent fantasy value unlikely. Wagner could become a streaming option in deeper formats if injuries create a larger role.

Wagner's well-rounded production gives him considerable fantasy upside entering his sixth NBA season.
Barrett averaged 19.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists across 57 starts for Toronto during the 2025-26 regular season while shooting 49.1 percent from the field. The 26-year-old remains an important part of a Raptors offense that is expected to feature Kawhi Leonard, Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley. That collection of scoring options could limit Barrett's overall usage, but he should remain a steady source of points and rebounds in most fantasy formats.
Murray is coming off a standout 2025-26 campaign with Denver in which he earned his first All-Star and All-NBA selections of his career. The veteran guard remains firmly entrenched as the Nuggets' No. 2 offensive option alongside Nikola Jokic and should continue carrying a substantial scoring and playmaking workload in 2026-27.
Brooks is coming off the best offensive season of his career, averaging 20.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals across 56 regular-season starts for Phoenix. Brooks should remain an important part of Phoenix's starting lineup alongside Devin Booker. However, Brooks' fantasy value depends more on scoring and three-point production than on contributions across the stat sheet.
Nembhard is coming off a career-best 2025-26 campaign with Indiana, averaging 16.9 points, 7.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 31.3 minutes across 57 regular-season appearances. The 26-year-old established himself as a full-time starter and primary playmaker for the Pacers, giving him a strong foundation for fantasy value entering 2026-27. Nembhard should once again handle a significant workload in Indiana's backcourt, though he may see a decline in usage if Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) is fully healthy.
