During his two season with the Ducks, shot .473 from the field, .380 from three and .803 from the charity stripe. As a senior, averaged 17.1 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.9 spg and 0.8 bpg in 34.1 mpg in 26 games (26 starts) on his way to earning the 2021 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award. Selected as the Pac-12 Player of the Year by the Associated Press. Named Second Team All-American by Sports Illustrated while earning All-Pac-12 First Team and Pac-12 All-Defensive Team honors. Was one of two players at the Division 1 level to average at least 17.0 ppg and 1.9 spg while shooting .500 from the field. PERSONAL LIFE

Born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, to parents Ana Luisa and Leonardo Duarte. Has one son, Christopher Jr., and one daughter, Sofia, with his girlfriend, Sylvia. Moved to the United States at age 16 and played two years in high school at Redemption Christian Academy in Troy, N.Y. Became only the fourth player from the Dominican Republic to be drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft.
