Day 5 of NBA 2K26 Summer League features a seven-game slate beginning at 1:30 ET with all games broadcast on either NBA TV or ESPNU, including a potential clash of top-five picks when the Jazz and Spurs meet (8:30 ET, NBA TV).

1. WIZARDS DRAFT PICKS SHINE IN FIRST SUMMER LEAGUE WIN
In the past two NBA Drafts, the Washington Wizards selected Alex Sarr (No. 2 overall in 2024) and Tre Johnson (No. 6 overall in 2025).
The two lottery picks are foundational pieces of the team Washington is looking to build for its future – and its present.
Sunday night in Las Vegas, the duo shined on both ends of the floor, leading the Wizards to their first Summer League win.
Wizards 102, Nets 96: Johnson (21 pts, 7-11 FG) and Sarr (16 pts, 12 reb, Summer League record 8 blk)Â combined for 37 points as the Wizards overcame a 30-point night from Drew Timme to outlast the Nets. | Recap
- Block Party: Sarr’s eight rejections topped the previous record of seven, which was held by five players and most recently reached by Memphis’ Jaren Jackson Jr. in 2018

Raptors 89, Magic 86: A.J. Lawson shined on both ends of the court – posting 21 points, five boards, two steals and two blocks off the bench – to lead Toronto to a 2-0 mark in Las Vegas as the Raptors held off a late 23-12 run by the Magic. | Recap

Hawks 98, Suns 80: Atlanta’s first-round pick Asa Newell (23rd overall) flirted with a double-double in his summer debut (8 pts, 8 reb).
Two days later, he hit the double-double (18 pts, 11 reb), leading five Hawks in double figures as Atlanta improved to 2-0 in Vegas. | Recap
- Scorer ➡️ Playmaker: After leading the Hawks with 29 points in their opener, Kobe Bufkin dished out nine dimes to counter a tough shooting night (10 pts, 3-17 FG)
- Standout Suns: Second-round picks Oso Ighodaro (18 pts, 9 reb, 3 stl, 2 blk) from 2024 and Koby Brea (15 pts, 6 reb) from 2025 combined for 33 as the Suns fell to 1-1 in Vegas
Pistons 98, Rockets 83: Behind Daniss Jenkins’ 23 points and six dimes and a combined 30 points from Ron Holland II (15 pts, 3 ast) and Tolu Smith (15 pts, 12 reb), the Pistons never trailed as they improved to 2-0 in Las Vegas. | Recap

- New York One: Kevin McCullar Jr. led all players with 30 points (10-15 FG) as the only player in double figures for the Knicks, who dropped to 0-2 in Vegas
Clippers 106, Bucks 91: Trailing 74-73 entering the 4th quarter, the Clippers won the final frame 33-16 to race past the Bucks and improve to 2-0 in Las Vegas, while dropping Milwaukee to 1-2. | Recap
- Three 20-Pieces: The Clippers’ trio of Patrick Baldwin Jr. (22 pts, 13 reb, 4 3pm), Jordan Miller (21 pts, 3 3pm) and Cam Christie (21 pts, 3 3pm) combined for 64 points and 10 3s in the win
- Dime Dropper: Milwaukee’s Markquis Nowell dished out a game-high nine assists off the bench – including a no-look lob to Andre Jackson Jr. – while Chris Livingston led the Bucks with 21 points
3. SUNDAY ROUNDUP: CAVS ROLL, DUBS GET FIRST VEGAS DUB
Cavaliers 92, Heat 72: Leading by three at the half, the Cavs broke the game open with a 30-13 3rd quarter to take down Miami and improve to 2-1 in Vegas. Jaylon Tyson led Cleveland with 21 points, six boards and five assists. | Recap
- Undrafted & Undeterred: Tristan Enaruna (19 pts, 3 stl) and Nae’Qwan Tomlin (11 pts, 6 ast, 3 stl), who each went undrafted in 2024, combined to add 30 in the win as they make their mark
- Heat Hammer: Second-year center Kel’el Ware led Miami with 21 points, nine boards, three blocks and one must-see alley-oop finish
Warriors 103, Jazz 93: Gabe Madsen caught fire in the 1st half – splashing six 6s on his way to team-high 22 points – as he and Alex Toohey (15 pts) led the Warriors past the Jazz to earn their first win in Las Vegas. | Recap
- Jazz Duo: Cody Williams led Utah with 22 points, eight boards, four assists and three steals, while Kyle Filipowski added 21 points – including 10 in the 4th quarter as the Jazz rallied but ultimately fell short to fall to 0-2 in Vegas
4. MONDAY PREVIEWS: EYEING THE SUMMER LEAGUE PLAYOFFS
In addition to being a showcase for some of the league’s top young talent, there is a championship on the line at NBA 2K26 Summer League.
- Playoffs: After each team’s fourth game, the top four teams will advance to the semifinals on July 19. The two winning teams from the semifinal games will participate in the championship game on July 20. | Format & Tiebreaker Rules
- Consolation Games: The 26 teams that do not advance to the four-team playoff will play a fifth game on either July 18 or July 20
As the competition enters Day 5, 10 teams remain unbeaten, including five – the Hawks, Hornets, Celtics, Spurs and Kings – that will look to improve to 3-0 today and remain in the driver’s seat for a playoff berth.
- Hawks vs. Rockets (4:30 ET, NBA TV): Rookie Asa Newell (13.0 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 62.5% 3P) and the Hawks (2-0) look to stay unbeaten in Summer League play when they face Reed Sheppard (23.0 ppg, 4th in Vegas) and the Rockets seeking their first win in Vegas
- Bulls vs. Pacers (6 ET, ESPNU): Indy’s first two summer games mimicked its 2025 Playoff run – pulling off a comeback to beat the Cavs (which they did twice in the East Semis) and falling to the Thunder (which they did in seven games in the Finals). Tonight, the Pacers look to go 2-1 while Chicago looks for its first win
- Hornets vs. Mavs (6:30 ET, NBA TV): The title of highest-scoring Summer League team goes to Charlotte – averaging 103.5 points while opening 2-0. They’ll look to keep the streak going against Dallas (1-1), which may be without Cooper Flagg, who will reportedly miss the remainder of Summer League
5. MONDAY PREVIEWS: UNBEATEN RECORDS ON THE LINE

After three early games, the action continues into the evening with four more matchups, including a potential clash of top-five picks.
Celtics vs. Heat (8 ET, ESPNU): Boston has not trailed over its past seven quarters of Summer League play. The Celtics will look to go 3-0 when they face Miami (0-2).
- Keep an eye on Charles Bassey – one of seven players in Vegas averaging a double-double (min. 2 games played)
Jazz vs. Spurs (8:30 ET, NBA TV): A potential clash of top five picks – No. 2 Dylan Harper and the Spurs look to stay unbeaten when they face No. 5 Ace Bailey and the Jazz.
- Bailey (hip) and fellow rookie Walter Clayton Jr. (hamstring) missed Sunday’s game – their status for tonight has yet to be announced
Kings vs. Suns (10 ET, ESPNU): Sacramento (2014 & 2021) and Portland are the only teams to win the NBA Summer League more than once. The Kings (2-0) will look to stay in the race for a third title when they face the Suns (1-1).

Clippers vs. Lakers (10:30 ET, NBA TV): The latest Battle of L.A. will close out Monday in Vegas. Both teams are coming off wins – Clippers (2-0) over Bucks on Sunday, Lakers (1-1) over Pelicans on Saturday.
