The Washington Wizards continue to remain busy as the trade deadline nears, adding veteran guard Reggie Jackson from the Philadelphia 76ers, the teams announced.
In the swap, the Sixers send Jackson and a future first-round pick to Washington for four second-round picks and reserve swingman Jared Butler.
The Wizards then waived Jackson later today.

Jackson appeared in 31 games for the 76ers, averaging 4.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 39.1% overall and 33.8% on 3-pointers. Once he clears waivers, he will be able to sign with any team except for Philadelphia for the rest of the season.
Butler has enjoyed a solid season with the Wizards (6.9 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 2.6 apg), who are his third team in the last four seasons. In Philadelphia, he’ll move into a backcourt that features All-Stars Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid as well as veterans such as Eric Gordon, Kyle Lowry and others.
Washington dealt one of its top players, Kyle Kuzma, in a reported deal with the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday and also parted with center Jonas Valančiūnas after trading him to the Sacramento Kings.
