Reports: Ousmane Dieng to re-up with Bucks on 3-year contract

Milwaukee reportedly extends the 23-year-old forward to a 3-year contract for $17.5 million, bringing back a key contributor.

Ousmane Dieng is reportedly returning to Milwaukee on a fresh 3-year deal.

The Bucks, moving forward after trading franchise icon Giannis Antetokounmpo, have reportedly ensured the return of a key contributor in free agency.

ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported that Ousmane Dieng has agreed to a three-year, $17.5 million contract, extending his run in Milwaukee through the 2028-29 season. Michael A. Scotto (HoopsHype) adds that the Bucks hold a team option on Year 3.

A 6-foot-9, 23-year-old forward, Dieng averaged 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 30 games (20 starts) for the Bucks after being acquired at February’s trade deadline. He spent the 3 1/2 seasons prior with the Oklahoma City Thunder, who drafted him No. 11 overall in 2022.
