The Toronto Raptors reportedly have made another move ahead of the Trade Deadline.

Per ESPN, the Raptors are trading guard Davion Mitchell to the Miami Heat in exchange for forward P.J. Tucker a future second-round pick and cash considerations.

Raptors receive:

  • P.J. Tucker
  • Future second-round pick
  • Cash considerations

Heat receive:

Tucker ultimately lands in Toronto after being part of several deals ahead of the trade deadline, including the multi-team trade that sent Jimmy Butler to Golden State. He was first dealt to the Utah Jazz with Mo Bamba on Feb. 1 for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills.

Tucker started the season with the LA Clippers but has not played in a single game. He and the team agreed in October that he would not be around the club, which has been trying to trade the 39-year-old for some time.

He joined the Clippers last season after being part of the deal that also landed James Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers. He’s in the final year of a three-year, $33 million contract and could be a buyout candidate.

As for Mitchell, he’ll join the new-look Heat squad that features Andrew Wiggins, who landed in Miami in the Butler deal. Mitchell is averaging 6.3 points, 1,9 rebounds and 4.6 assists across 44 games with the Raptors this season.

Selected ninth overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2021 NBA Draft, this will be Mitchell’s third team in the last four seasons.
