Reports: Raptors agree to acquire Kawhi Leonard in trade with Clippers

Toronto reportedly is acquiring the 2-time Finals MVP in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick and future Draft picks.

Kawhi Leonard reportedly is returning to Toronto, where he played during the 2018-19 season and won NBA Finals MVP as he led the Raptors to the 2019 NBA championship.

The LA Clippers reportedly have agreed to trade Leonard back to Toronto in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and future Draft picks, according to multiple reports.

Leonard, a two-time NBA Finals MVP, has one year left on the contract he signed with the Clippers in 2019. According to multiple reports, Leonard intends to sign a contract extension with the Raptors.

The 35-year-old forward is a seven-time All-Star, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, and a member of the NBA’s 75th anniversary team.

Leonard averaged 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists over 65 games with LA last season.

Ingram returns to Los Angeles, where he began his career with the Lakers in 2016. After three seasons with the Lakers and six with the New Orleans Pelicans, the 28-year-old All-Star forward averaged 21.5 points and 5.6 rebounds over 77 games in his lone season with Toronto.

Dick, the 13th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, has averaged 9.2 points and 2.5 rebounds over his first three seasons in the NBA.
