Zach LaVine (43 points, 16-28 FG) caught fire in the second half, surpassing what was a booming first half from DeRozan. The latter ultimate finished with a similarly efficient 37 points (14-26 FG) — althought LaVine pouring in 8 of 11 3PA stands in contrast to DeRozan’s 1-for-6 shooting from deep.
Cade Cunningham (35 points, 13-21 FG) starred as well, but the Kings posting a hot 51.6/40.7/81.5 percent shooting slash was ultimate too much to withstand.
Ausar Thompson chipped in 15 points (7-13 FG) along with four rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Balanced attack fuels Heat win
Rookie Kel’el posts a season-high 17 rebounds — representing his fourth game of the year with at least 15 boards. Tacking on 19 points (8-16 FG), Monday amounted to Ware’s 15th double-double of the season across 61 appearances.
Duncan Robinson led Miami with 21 points (7-8 FG, 5-6 3PM, 2-2 FT).
Quentin Grimes and Lonnie Walker each had 29 points, forming a two-man army as the rest of Philadelphia’s roster combined to shoot just 2-for-14 from beyond the arc. The aforementioned duo accounting for 24 of the team’s 38 three-point attempts is notable in and of itself.
