18-year NBA veteran Nicolas Batum announces his retirement.
NBA veteran Nicolas Batum is retiring after an 18-year career, he announced in a video he posted on X on Monday.

Batum was drafted 25th overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2008 NBA Draft before being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers to begin his career. He would go on to play for three other teams: the Charlotte Hornets, LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers.
Serving as a reliable do-it-all forward for the majority of his career, Batum averaged 9.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists while also surpassing 11,500 total points (11,553).
