1. Bernard King, 1984-85, 32.9 Points Per Game

King spent five seasons with the Knicks where his best scoring performance came in 1984-85 when he led the league by averaging 32.9 points per game. He took 23.7 shots per game and shot 53.0% from the field. That helped him be named an All-Star and finish seventh in MVP voting. Across 206 career regular-season games with the Knicks, King averaged 26.5 points.

2. Richie Guerin, 1961-62, 29.5 Points Per Game

The Knicks selected Guerin in the second round of the 1954 Draft, however, he did not make his first appearance in the NBA until the 1956-57 season because he was serving in the military. His best scoring performance came during the 1961-62 season when he averaged 29.5 points per game. That was the sixth-highest mark in the NBA. Guerin made six All-Star teams with the Knicks but saw his tenure with the franchise come to an end when he was traded to the Hawks in 1963. Over 518 regular-season games with the Knicks, Guerin averaged 20.1 points.

3. Jalen Brunson, 2023-24, 28.7 Points Per Game

Brunson might go down as one of the best free-agent signings in Knicks history. In his first season with the franchise, he averaged 24.0 points, 6.2 assists, and 2.0 three-pointers per game. His second season was even better, with him averaging 28.7 points per game in 2023-24, ranking him fourth in the NBA. That also marked the first season of his career where Brunson was named an All-Star.

4. Carmelo Anthony, 2012-13, 28.7 Points Per Game

The Knicks acquired Anthony in a trade with the Nuggets. One of the more talented offensive players in the league during a good portion of his career, Anthony led the league in scoring with 28.7 points during the 2012-13 season. That resulted in him finishing third in MVP voting, which was the highest finish of his career. Anthony made a total of six All-Star teams with the Knicks and averaged 24.7 points across 412 regular season games.

5. Patrick Ewing, 1989-90, 28.6 Points Per Game

The Knicks selected Ewing with the first pick in the 1985 Draft. He averaged 20.0 points and 9.0 rebounds during his rookie campaign to win the Rookie of the Year Award. The 1989-90 campaign was his most impressive from a scoring perspective as his average of 28.6 points per game ranked third in the NBA behind Michael Jordan (33.6) and Karl Malone (31.0). Ewing made 11 All-Star teams during his career and averaged 22.8 points per game with the Knicks.
