The Mavs and Pistons will square off in a game at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Nov. 1.

The NBA returns to Mexico when the Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons meet in the NBA Mexico City Game 2025 on Nov. 1. It marks the 34th NBA game played in Mexico – this will be the 15th regular-season game, along with 19 preseason games – as the country has hosted the most NBA games outside of the United States and Canada.

This year’s event marks the fourth consecutive year — and the 14th time since 2014, along with one game in 1997 — that the NBA has hosted a regular-season game in Mexico.

1. A Mexico City rematch: Both teams have history in Mexico City, with this marking the fourth time Dallas has played a regular-season game there, while this is Detroit’s second such game.

The Mavericks and Pistons also met in Mexico City on Dec. 12, 2019, which Dallas won, 122-111. Mavs center Dwight Powell is the only player from that game in 2019 who will be part of Saturday’s contest. He may have an expanded role after Anthony Davis left Dallas’ win over Indiana on Wednesday with lower leg soreness.
