As the NBA calendar flips to December, here are 10 must-see matchups from Week 7 streaming exclusively on NBA League Pass.

Monday, Dec. 1: Hawks at Pistons (7 p.m. ET): On Sunday, the Hawks prevailed in a double-overtime instant classic against the Sixers in Philly. On Monday, they’ll be in Detroit to take on the East-leading Pistons. This game features two standouts from the deep 2021 NBA Draft – No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham and No. 20 pick Jalen Johnson – both of whom appeared in the latest Kia MVP Ladder.

Monday, Dec. 1: Mavs at Nuggets (9 p.m. ET): Speaking of No. 1 picks, 2025 top selection Cooper Flagg is coming off a historic night, becoming the youngest player in NBA history to score 35+ points in a game during Dallas’ win over the Clippers. How will he follow up that performance when facing Nikola Jokić and the Nuggets?

Tuesday, Dec. 2: Timberwolves at Pelicans (8 p.m. ET): Anthony Edwards vs. Zion Williamson – that’s a viral moment waiting to happen in the first game of a home-and-home set between Minnesota and New Orleans.

Wednesday, Dec. 3: Spurs at Magic (7 p.m. ET): This matchup features two teams embodying the “next man up” mentality as they continue to win despite missing star players. Victor Wembanyama (calf) has been out since Nov. 14 and the Spurs have gone 5-2 in his absence. Paolo Banchero (groin) has been out since Nov. 12 and the Magic have gone 6-2 without him. Will either star return for this matchup? If not, who will be the “next man up” this time?

Thursday, Dec. 4: Lakers at Raptors (7:30 p.m. ET): Luka Dončić (six straight 30+ point games) and the Lakers (seven straight wins) are scorching entering Week 7, holding the second-longest active win streak in the league behind the Thunder’s dozen. L.A. visits a Raptors team that held the longest streak in the East (nine in a row) but has dropped two straight since.

Friday, Dec. 5: Heat at Magic (7 p.m. ET): It’s South Florida vs. Central Florida in this intra-state rivalry featuring two of the league’s top 10 scoring offenses. Miami’s 123.6 points per game ranks 2nd in the NBA, while Orlando’s 119.3 ranks 9th.

Friday, Dec. 5: 76ers at Bucks (8 p.m. ET): The last time these two teams met on Nov. 20, Tyrese Maxey erupted for a career-high 54 points as the Sixers won in overtime to snap an eight-game losing streak to the Bucks. Fifteen days later, these teams will meet for the second time this season – once again at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

Saturday, Dec. 6: Rockets at Mavs (8:30 p.m. ET): This matchup features two of the most versatile young stars in the league – Houston’s Amen Thompson and Dallas’ Cooper Flagg – meet for the second time this season.

  • Amen Thompson: 16.7 ppg, 48.7 eFG%, 6.9 rpg, 5.3 apg, 1.4 spg, 0.4 bpg
  • Cooper Flagg: 16.7 ppg, 48.8 eFG%, 6.6 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.4 spg, 0.6 bpg

While their numbers are nearly identical across the board this season, it was Thompson (27 pts) who led Houston to the win in their first meeting.

Sunday, Dec. 7: Magic at Knicks (12 p.m. ET): As the Magic look to establish themselves as East contenders, they have a chance to sweep their season series (3-0) with the Knicks – a team that has finished top three in the East the past two seasons and enters Week 7 in second place (13-6), compared to the Magic in sixth (12-8).

Sunday, Dec. 7: Warriors at Bulls (7 p.m. ET): Last season, Jimmy Butler III made his Warriors debut in Chicago, facing the team that drafted him in 2011 (30th overall) and where he spent the first six seasons of his career. Since leaving the Bulls in 2017, Butler III has faced his former team 17 times with averages of 24.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists. It is Butler’s highest scoring average against any opponent.
