Vlade Divac (1968)
Before Nikola Jokić became the best player in the NBA, Divac was the best player to come out of Serbia. The big man was the 26th pick in the 1989 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. While he came off the bench for most of his rookie season, Vlade became a regular starter in his second season. The big man flirted with double-double averages over the next six seasons in LA and the Charlotte Hornets in 1996.
Divac spent two years there before joining the Sacramento Kings in 1998. The big man really found a home there, spending the next six seasons with the Kings. He closed his career with one year in LA in 2005 but found a home in Sacramento’s front office after his playing career. After moving up the food chain, Divac became the Kings’ GM in 2015 and held that role until 2020. The Serbian center made one All-Star appearance in 2000 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019.
Scoot Henderson (2004)
Scoot is just starting his career in the NBA, having just finished his second season for the Portland Trail Blazers in 2025. They selected him third overall in the 2024 NBA Draft after some stellar seasons for G-League Ignite. He was asked to fill the role that Damian Lillard left behind, averaging 14 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 0.8 steals in a solid rookie season.
His second season showed a slight dip in the surface stats, but there were several highlights that show he can grow into a star. He had a 39-point outburst against the Nets in January and over the course of the season, he averaged 16.2 points on 47.5 percent shooting in his 10 starts.
