A balanced offensive performance and dominant team rebounding effort by the Toronto Raptors spearheaded their 91-69 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in an NBA 2K25 Summer League battle at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The Raptors didn’t waste any time setting the tone for what would be a lopsided victory, jumping out to a 30-10 lead through one. The Thunder was able to reduce their deficit in half over the middle quarters, but Toronto came alive offensively over the final 10 minutes on the way to a 32-19 advantage and a convincing victory. The Raptors, who never trailed, also won the rebounding battle by a 62-46 margin.
Adam Flagler led the Thunder with 23 points, adding one steal. Rookie first-round pick Dillon Jones tallied 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Rookie second-round selection Ajay Mitchell furnished 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Gradey Dick paced the Raptors with 18 points, which he complemented with 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals. Branden Carlson compiled 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks. D.J. Carton matched Carlson’s scoring and also produced five assists, three rebounds and two steals. Javon Freeman-Liberty finished with 12 points, five rebounds, one steal and one block, while Jamison Battle poured in 12 points as well.
The Thunder returns to action against the Heat on Monday evening , while the Raptors are back on the floor Sunday night against the Denver Nuggets.
