LAS VEGAS — The Denver Nuggets defeated the Indiana Pacers 86-71 at Thomas & Mack Center in the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas on Thursday.
The Nuggets looked dominant in this contest and were in complete control early on, not allowing Indiana to get into any sort of rhythm on offense. Denver quickly translated that supremacy into the score and raced to an 18-13 lead in the first quarter, further extending it after a 24-13 edge in the second 10 minutes. However, the Pacers played with a completely different intensity in the second half, and they stormed back into the game following a 26-17 score in the third quarter. Indiana came close by six points with four minutes left, but Denver wouldn’t relinquish its lead. The Nuggets made some key shots during the final stretch to secure the victory.
Hunter Tyson delivered 23 points for the Nuggets. PJ Hall scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, but he also impressed on the defensive end. Trey Alexander notched 19 points and six boards. Jahmir Young had 18 points off the bench.
Tristen Newton led the Pacers in scoring with 15 points. Jarace Walker posted 13 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Kendall Brown had nine points and pulled down four rebounds. Enrique Freeman scored 11 points.
