The Utah Jazz defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 105-99, at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas in the NBA 2K24 Summer League on Saturday.
The Jazz enjoyed a solid start and didn’t look back the rest of the way, as they jumped out to a 31-24 lead in the first quarter and bolstered their lead even further following an 18-15 score in the second quarter. The Clippers erased the double-digit lead and responded with a 21-17 outcome in the third quarter, but Utah closed things out with a 39-39 score in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Keyonte George was the best player for the Jazz and finished with a game-high 33 points, and he also added 10 assists and two rebounds. Ochai Agbaji impressed with 21 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two blocks, while Micah Potter (18 points, nine rebounds, four dimes) and Johnny Juzang (13 points) also reached the double-digit scoring threshold.
Seven Clippers scored in double figures in this game, with Xavier Moon leading the way after a 26-point performance, while Jason Preston had a 15-point, 10-assist double-double. Moussa Diabate also had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Matt Morgan impressed with 14 points coming off the bench.
Both teams will play their next game Monday, with the Jazz taking on the Timberwolves while the Clippers face the Kings.
