The Orlando Magic have made the playoffs 17 times in franchise history. They have yet to win a championship. Let’s highlight their top five all-time leaders for most points scored in a playoff game. Most points in a Playoff Game

1. Dwight Howard, 46 Points

Howard spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Magic and made five trips to the playoffs with the team. In Game 1 of a first-round series between the Magic and Hawks in 2011, Howard played 46 minutes and scored 46 points. He shot 16-for-23 from the field and 14-for-22 from the free throw line. In addition to his 46 points, Howard recorded 19 rebounds in what resulted in a 10-point loss for the Magic. Orlando would eventually lose the series in six games.

2. Tracy McGrady, 46 Points

McGrady played four seasons with the Magic and made the All-Star team each year. He also made it to the playoffs in three of the four seasons. In Game 2 of a first-round series with the Pistons in 2003, McGrady scored 46 points over 45 minutes. He shot 16-for-26 from the field and went 10-for-11 from the free throw line. The Magic lost the game 89-77. No other player on Orlando scored more than nine points. The Magic eventually lost the series in seven games.

3. Tracy McGrady, 43 Points

In Game 1 of that same 2003 series against the Pistons, McGrady scored 43 points on 15-for-28 shooting from the field. He also went 10-for-12 from the charity stripe while adding seven rebounds. Drew Godden chipped in 18 points for the Magic, but no other player on the team scored more than nine points. The Magic won the game, 99-94.

4. Anfernee Hardaway, 42 Points

Hardaway spent the first six seasons of his career with the Magic. Following his rookie season, he made four straight All-Star teams. The Magic went to the playoffs in five of his six seasons with the team. In Game 3 of a 1997 first-round series against the Heat, Hardaway scored 42 points over 48 minutes. He shot 16-for-30 from the field and made nine of his 10 free throw attempts. The other four starters on the Magic combined to score six points, but Orlando still won the game, 88-75. They eventually lost the series in five games.

5. Tracy McGrady, 42 Points

In Game 3 of a first-round series against the Bucks in 2001, McGrady scored 42 points while playing 50 minutes. He shot 14-for-32 from the field and went 14-for-18 from the free throw line. He narrowly missed a triple-double, recording eight rebounds and 10 assists. The cherry on top was his three steals and two blocks. The Magic won the game, 121-116. It was their only win of the series as they lost in four games. Over 15 career playoff games with the Magic, McGrady averaged 32.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.2 blocks.
