Memphis Grizzlies Medical Update: Marcus Smart out 2 weeks with right finger injury

Smart has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the proximal extensor hood of his right index finger; Santi Aldama is week-to-week.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the following medical update for guard Marcus Smart and forward Santi Aldama:

Smart has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the proximal extensor hood of his right index finger, which he sustained during the Grizzlies; game against the Atlanta Hawks on December 21. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Aldama has been diagnosed with a left ankle sprain, which he sustained during the Grizzlies’ game against the Toronto Raptors on December 26. He is considered week-to-week.
