What we know about Saturday’s games:

-Luka Dončić faces his former team in a Lakers-Mavericks matchup. This is a highlight game for AWS NBA Rivals Week. The Lakers-Mavericks trade last season was one of the most consequential trades in NBA history, and we’ll get to see Luka Dončić face his former team here. The Mavericks come into this matchup winning seven of their last 10 outings, while the Lakers have lost six of their last nine games.

-The Bulls and Celtics battle at 8:00 ET. Boston has been one of the biggest surprises in the NBA, sitting second in the Eastern Conference with a 28-16 record. Chicago has also been much better recently, entering this matchup amid a three-game winning streak.

-The Knicks grab a narrow win over the Sixers in an AWS NBA Rivals Week game. There were 10 lead changes in the Philly-NY matchup, with the Knicks narrowly holding off the Sixers, 112-109. New York out-rebounded Philadelphia, 53-37, while outscoring them in second-chance points, 26-4.

Cleveland shot 49 percent from the field while holding Orlando below 38 percent.

Jaylon Tyson led the Cavs with 15 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Desmond Bane led the Magic with 12 points.

The Luka Dončić trade from Dallas was the story of the NBA last season, and he’ll get a matchup with his former team here.

It’s an interesting matchup, given how these teams have performed.

While the Lakers have a better record at 26-17, they come into this matchup losing six of their last nine games. The Mavericks have a 19-26 record but have won seven of their last 10 outings.

This was one of the highlight games for AWS NBA Rivals Week, and these rivals put on a show.

There were six ties and 10 lead changes, with Philly having two game-tying opportunities in the closing six seconds. They missed a 3-pointer and had a turnover in those possessions.

New York dominated in the paint, out-rebounding Philly, 53-37, while outscoring them in second-chance points, 26-4.

Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 31 points, five rebounds and six assists.

Joel Embiid led the Sixers with 38 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.

Hornets Defeat Wizards, 119-115

There were 10 lead changes in the opening half, but Charlotte took command in the second quarter.

They got their lead up to 18 points in the third and fourth quarters.

The Hornets shot 52 percent from the field while holding the Wizards to 46 percent shooting.

Brandon Miller led the way with 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.

Tre Johnson led Washington with a career-high 26 points and six assists.
