Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder defeated the Bucks on ESPN to continue AWS Rivals Week 2026.

What we know ahead of Wednesday’s games:

  • The Cavaliers earned a road win over the Hornets 94-87 to open it, as Donovan Mitchell dropped 24 points and 6 assists.
  • The Thunder defeated the Bucks 122-102 behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (40 pts on 16-of-19 shooting, 11 ast).
  • Jalen Johnson (32 pts, 15 reb, 8 ast) and Jaylen Brown (30 pts, 10 reb, 5 ast, 3 stl) stuffed the stat sheet as the Hawks and Celtics respectively defeated the Grizzlies and Pacers.

Raptors race past Kings

Six Raptors scored in double figures, led by Scottie Barnes (23 pts, 8 reb, 7 ast, 4 stl), Brandon Ingram (23 pts) and Sandro Mamukelashvili (22 pts, 9 reb, 4 ast), as Toronto defeated the Kings 122-109.

Russell Westbrook had 23 points to lead the Kings.

Thunder defeat the Bucks

122-102. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went off, dropping 40 points and 11 assists on 16-of-19 shooting, as the Thunder led wire-to-wire on the road.

“We have a bunch of guys who are driven and hungry. We’re not satisfied with just one championship. We play this game, we pick the basketball up, to be great and maximize our potential,” said SGA, noting he missed three layups on the night.

Kenrich Williams and Ajay Mitchell each had 18 points for Oklahoma City, which committed just eight turnovers in the victory.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led six Bucks in double figures with 19 points, adding 14 rebounds and 7 assists.

The Celtics and Pacers, fresh off a thriller, continue a budding rivalry

On Jan. 12, the Pacers defeated the Celtics 98-96 on a floater from Pascal Siakam, adding a new layer to an often-spirited struggle between Eastern Conference foes.

Since the beginning of the 2023-24 season, the Celtics and Pacers have split their last 10 contests, with each team winning five games.

That doesn’t include the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals, which the Celtics won in four close games, including Jaylen Brown’s dramatic game-tying 3-pointer to take Game 1 to overtime.

These teams have been going back-and-forth for years, based on similar principles of open, flowing offense, strong rim protection and talented isolation scorers.

Pascal Siakam and Brown win one-on-one matchups with skilled midrange games and strength; Andrew Nembhard and Derrick White are two of the best two-way guards in the league; Jay Huff and Neemias Queta provide stalwart rim protection on small contracts.

Both team boast benches full of two-way prospects, allowing them to fire 3-pointers while maintaining defensive structure.
