Raptors take care of Blazers without Deni 🦖
The Trail Blazers were one of the league’s hottest teams after building a 9-2 record in January, but Toronto poured water on their recent hot streak. The Raptors’ defense set the tone by holding Portland to only 12 first-quarter points.
Down the stretch, impressive shots like the one below from Brandon Ingram sealed the deal.

Halfcourt heave hits front rim, Nuggets win 😲
Kyle Kuzma nearly sank an incredible game-winning shot, but the crazy comeback wasn’t meant to be. Ryan Rollins drilled a pair of high-difficulty threes to even give his team a chance. In the end, the hole Milwaukee dug was too deep to climb out of.
Denver wins despite entering very short-handed. The Nuggets five leading players in minutes per game all sat this one, some for injury and some for rest. Julian Strawther and Tim Hardaway Jr. both delivered in their absences as they finished with 20 and 17 points respectively.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was headed to the locker room in the final minute after tweaking his leg – before returning to the bench after hearing the crowd roar for a Ryan Rollins three that cut the lead to two.

JJ leads the way for ATL, Booker & Green go down
The Suns entered riding three consecutive wins, but that streak ended along with tough breaks in the injury department. Jalen Green has sparingly played this season and was forced to exit again in the first quarter due to a lingering hamstring issue. In the third quarter, Devin Booker’s night ended after rolling his ankle.
Atlanta capitalized thanks to big nights from Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu. The duo had 23 and 25 points respectively, while newcomer CJ McCollum added 21 points off the bench.

This game saw multiple plot twists in the closing moments of regulation, and then again in the first overtime. Boston appeared to have the game in hand, except Nic Claxton’s tip-in with one second remaining sent the game to overtime.
Brooklyn seized momentum in the final moments of the first overtime after a stellar sequence from Noah Clowney, but a Hugo Gonzalez three nearly at the buzzer gave Boston new life. In the second overtime, Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard guided their team to victory.

Nightcap check-in 🌚
After a frenzied finish to the early tip-offs, the night’s two final games now come into focus.
- Denver and Milwaukee are locked in a defensive battle. The Bucks trail by eight coming out of halftime.
- Portland is hoping to defeat Toronto at home without Deni Avdija. The breakout star was scratched before the game due to back tightness, but his team is holding steady with the Raptors midway through the second quarter.

Pacers beat OKC … wait WHAT ?!?
That just happened. The night’s most unpredictable outcome came to fruition as Indiana took down the reigning champs in their own building. Andrew Nembhard tapped into his NBA Finals bag and delivered 27 points while also guarding Shai Gilgeous-Alexander throughout. The reigning MVP had his second straight 40-point game in defeat.
Aaron Nesmith gave his team the shot in the arm it needed late with a powerful one-handed flush.
