-Sixers Defeat Celtics, 109-100, in Game 7 on NBC/Peacock. 

-Philadelphia will face the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

-This is the Sixers first playoff series win over the Celtics since 1982.

-They are the first seven-seed to beat a two-seed since the playoffs expanded to a best-of-seven in 2003.

-The Sixers are also the 14th team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 series deficit.

Top Performers of the Night

-Joel Embiid finished with 34 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

-Tyrese Maxey tallied 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.

-VJ Edgecombe amassed 23 points, six rebounds and four assists.

-Jaylen Brown led Boston with 33 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three blocks.

-Derrick White provided 26 points, six rebounds, four assists and three blocks.

Sixers vs. Knicks in Eastern Conference Semis

After Philly’s historical 3-1 comeback, they’ll face New York in the Eastern Conference Semis.

The Knicks are coming off their biggest win in franchise playoff history in their clincher over the Atlanta Hawks.

These teams have only played one playoff series since 1989. The Knicks won in six games in the first round of the 2024 Playoffs.

These two teams split their four-game season series, with the home team winning all four games. With that said, the Knicks have won seven of their last nine games over the Sixers.

Philly overcame a 3-1 deficit in this series

They were 0-18 in series’ where they trailed 3-1 prior to this win.

The Sixers held the lead for all but one minute in this game.

It’s their first playoff series win over Boston since 1982.

They play the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Philly got out to a 9-0 lead to kickstart the game, and they’ve held the lead for all but one minute.

That third quarter was another step in the right direction, with Philly outscoring Boston, 33-25.

Joel Embiid leads the way with 27 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
