Ohio State’s all-time leading scorer, guard Bruce Thornton, has been selected by the Knicks, and is on his way to Houston.
The Knicks, one of the busiest teams on the opening night of the 2026 NBA Draft, kicked off the Second Round with another team, this time swapping a pair of picks with the Rockets. Deals later followed that brought the Pistons and Clippers into the fold.
Rockets receive:
- No. 31 overall (Bruce Thornton) via New York
- Cash considerations (via LA Clippers)
Knicks receive:
- No. 39 overall (Jack Kayil) via Houston
- 2029 Second-Round pick (via Sacramento)
- Cash considerations (via Detroit)
Pistons receive:
- No. 53 overall (Ugonna Onyenso) via New York
Clippers receive:
- No. 55 overall (Nick Martinelli) via Houston and New York
