
Jalen Williams is having instant two-way impact in his return to action for the Thunder.
Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams made his season debut on Friday against the Suns in Emirates NBA Cup action.
No longer listed on the Thunder’s injury report Friday, the first signal Williams would be available, he had missed 19 games. He started and played 29 minutes in a 123-119 victory, scoring 11 points (3-12 FGs) while adding four rebounds, eight assists and two steals.
The 2024-25 Third-Team All-NBA selection had been recovering from offseason wrist surgery to repair a torn ligament that plagued him during the franchise’s run to the NBA title.

The Thunder are 18-1 on the season through 19 games and have won 10 straight.
Williams played 69 games for Oklahoma City last season, where he averaged a career-high 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. He was named an All-Star for the first time, as well as Second-Team All-Defense, along with his Third-Team All-NBA selection.
Williams continued to recover from offseason wrist surgery he had in July. After the Thunder captured the 2025 NBA championship, it was revealed that he played the entire playoffs with torn wrist ligaments.
