  1. Career-high’s in 76ers-Bucks. Tyrese Maxey sets a new career-high with 54 points, while Ryan Rollins’ creation skills were fully on display en route to career-highs of 32 points and 14 assists.
  2. De’Aaron Fox, Keldon Johnson, Julian Champagnie, Harrison Barnes and Devin Vassell all scored at least 15 points as San Antonio beat a feisty Atlanta squad.
  3. Memphis get-right game. The Grizzlies crowdsourced an astounding 42 assists on 50 made buckets en route to 137 points in a 41-point victory over Sacramento. Vince Williams led the way with 15 assists (four points, 2-7 FG).

54-points from Maxey, 76ers win

Tyrese Maxey (54 points, 18-30 FG, 12-14 FT) sets a new scoring career-high, while posting the 3rd-highest scoring performance of the young season Thursday.

Final in overtime — Philadelphia 123, Milwaukee 114

Maxey put on a clinic scoring in all three levels. He’s taking a leap by inheriting the torch to leading Philadelphia’s offense and doing so in efficient fashion.

Paul George finishes with 21 points (7-12 FG), five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 24 minutes.

Jared McCain logged double-digit minutes for the second time since returning from a knee injury that prematurely ended his rookie season. He finished with eight points (3-7 FG) and two rebounds.

Ryan Rollins was a star creator for the Bucks. He finished with 32 points (13-26 FG), six rebounds, 14 assists, one steal and only three turnovers in 40 minutes of action. The 23-year-old accounted for 60% of Milwaukee’s FGM.

Bobby Portis (19 points, 9-14 FG) scored efficiently as well, but Maxey’s boom combined with steady secondary offense from Quentin Grimes (14 points, four rebounds, four assists) secured the win.

Magic win 5 of last 6, beat Clippers, 129-101

In a game that featured only one tie, one lead change, and an Orlando advantage for all but the opening stretch of the contest, the Magic put fourth a convincing victory over the Clippers.

Orlando capitalized in the form of 33 points off turnovers and 41 fast break points — setting a new season-high in the latter, falling one-point shy of the all-time team record. The Magic had 42 fast break points in 2000 — one of the more interesting franchise records yet to be broken in the modern era.

Jalen Suggs posts a team-high 23 points (8-15 FG). James Harden delivered game-high totals of 31 points and eight assists. Ivica Zubac posted a double-double with 14 points and 19 rebounds. No other Clipper logged double-digit scoring.

A Myles Turner made three put Milwaukee in front, but Tyrese Maxey free throws eventually tied the game. Ryan Rollins missed a game-winning three at the buzzer, so we head to a fifth frame.

Spurs win up-tempo affair

San Antonio outlasts Atlanta, earning a 135-126 victory to defend homecourt. San Antonio had a 74-point first half and finished with 60 points in the paint overall in a contest they led for all but a few moments of the second half.

De’Aaron Fox had team-highs of 26 points (9-16 FG) and nine assists for the Spurs. Keldon Johnson’s 25 points (9-12 FG) provided a big spark off the bench.

For Atlanta, Nickeil Alexander-Walker was remarkably efficient en route to notching his first 30-point game since the 2021-22 season. Finishing with 38 points (13-17 FG), four rebounds and five assists, he and Jalen Johnson (26/12/7) fueled the Hawks’ offensive success.

Harrison Barnes (16 points) is playing good ball for San Antonio. The veteran is shooting well, looking composed around the basket, and providing all types of glue on both ends. With no Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper all amid multi-game absences, Barnes is key.

Philadelphia trails Milwaukee 81-77 entering the fourth quarter.

It was all PG early, but Tyrese Maxey has boomed to 35 points (13-22 FG). He’s on pace for a 50-piece.

Ryan Rollins has a team-high 19 points for the Bucks — who have 24 assists on 34 buckets en route two 50.7% shooting as a team.

Memphis stampeding👀👀

A 75-47 lead from Memphis over Sacramento at halftime began in the opening minutes of the first quarter and never looked back.

In a balanced attack, with Zach Edey (16 points, 7-7 FG) has been remarkably sharp while capitalizing on a weak Sacramento interior. Santi Aldama (15 points) and Jock Landale (13 points) represent the other double-digit scorers for Memphis.

The Grizzlies racking up 38 paint points and 18 points off turnovers are storylines of a dominant effort thus far.

Kuzma has seven point (3-5 FG) as Milwaukee is up 57-55 on Philadelphia despite Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) being unavailable.

An offensive boost from the 31-year-old would be a welcome surprise for the Clippers. There’s a distinctive lack of juice after replacing Norman Powell with Bradley Beal and now having to navigate Beal’s season-ending hip injury.
