SAN FRANCISCO – The Miami Heat defeated the Golden State Warriors Gold, 95-85, in the California Classic Summer League at Chase Center on Monday.
The Heat (2-1) were led by Ryan Conwell, collecting 26 points, five rebounds and four assists. Trey White amassed 16 points and four rebounds.
Miami got out to a 24-16 lead after the first quarter and put this game away after a 35-13 second quarter.
That 30-point halftime lead was their largest of the game, but Golden State never got within eight points after the first quarter.
The Heat had 24 assists to the Warriors’ 17 while also outscoring them in second-chance points 18-11.
Ian Schieffelin led the bench with 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocks. Tre Donaldson tallied 15 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals.
The Warriors Gold (2-1) were led by Lachlan Olbrich, providing 21 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Deivon Smith led the starters with 16 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Chance McMillian scored 14 points.
Both teams are done until the Las Vegas Summer League starts later this week. The Warriors face the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday (7 ET, ESPN), while Miami matches up with the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday (4 ET, Prime Video).
