Pre-Draft Outlook
The Raptors were one of the league’s most improved teams this season, adding 16 wins to go from the Lottery to the East’s No. 5 seed. They lost in the first round of the playoffs, but Scottie Barnes (25 years old in August) and Collin Murray-Boyles (21 in June) established themselves as franchise cornerstones.
The Way to Go
The Raptors need shooting and playmaking, whether they come via trade, free agency or the Draft. But both Barnes and Murray-Boyles are malleable enough that they should be looking to pick the best player available at 19. Christian Anderson and Cameron Carr would give them some much-needed shooting if either is available, but they could also look at potential, long-term replacements for Jakob Poeltl like Chris Cenac Jr., Morez Johnson Jr. or Hannes Steinbach.
