Overview
Xavian Lee is a Canadian-American guard who grew up in Toronto but ended his high school career in Pennsylvania to enhance his recruiting profile. He eventually enrolled at Princeton, where he became one of the Ivy League’s most electric players. Lee earned back-to-back First-Team All-Ivy League selections and became the first player in Princeton history to record a triple-double. After averaging 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists as a junior, Lee transferred to Florida, the reigning national champion, for his senior season. He averaged 11.6 points, 4.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals at Florida, though his three-point percentage dropped to 29.2 percent against SEC competition after shooting 36.6 percent during his final season as a Tiger.

Analysis
Lee is an entertaining and instinctual offensive player whose production at Princeton was unprecedented. He is shifty and quick with the ball, can score at all three levels and has the court vision to run an offense effectively when given freedom. His transition from primary creator at Princeton to secondary option at Florida resulted in growing pains, and the physical measurements at the NBA combine came back shorter and lighter than expected. However, the offensive talent is undeniable, and he’s more than willing to compete defensively.

Projection
Lee is unlikely to be drafted in 2026 but has the offensive creativity and playmaking instincts to earn G League or two-way opportunities. His path to an NBA roster most closely resembles Jose Alvarado or Andrew Nembhard, who were both undersized, high-IQ guards who used unrelenting competitiveness and offensive feel to carve out roles after going undrafted. Lee’s version of that path will require significant improvement defensively and more consistent outside shooting to convince scouts his production at Princeton wasn’t a fluke.
